Last Thursday, Art Directors Bob King And Dave Patch answered questions of The Sims users with some interesting answers-

Mac users will be happy to know that Aspyr started shipping The Sims Makin' Magic expansion pack on the 25th. The final expansion pack in The Sims series, Mac users are finally fully up to speed in The Sims realm. SimCity 4 users, however, will have to wait until at least June for the SimCity 4 Rush Hour expansion pack. As of yet there have been no announcements as to whether or not The Sims 2 will be heading to Mac however it is almost a given seeing as The Sims was so incredibly popular. Recently GameSpy.com has been hosting a game Title Fight in which people decide through voting which game it the ultimate. Out of the SimCity qualifying round SimCity 2000 beat out every other SimCity with 5996 votes out of 10564, SimCity 4 scraping by in second with a meager 1712 votes followed closely by the original SimCity with 1642 votes and SimCity 3000 falling in last with 1214 votes. SimCity 2000 went on to compete with The Sims, beating The Sims with a close 3328 to 2928 votes. You can see all of the matches at GameSpy.com.

As Luc Barthelet revealed on SimCity.com in this article, Maxis is on the move. The traditional Walnut Creek offices are being left behind for larger more spacious offices in Redwood Shores, much closer to EA. While Luc notes that this will not affect the community at all, we recommend having a look at the article which shows how much work they really do at Maxis ;-).

The delayed SimDay proved to be worth the wait! Maxis has released the much anticipated Building Architect Tool to the public! You can download the 10.2 Mb addon at SimCity.com. To run BAT, you'll also need gmax from Discreet. While BAT looks like it will have quite a learning curve, it is a powerful tool that will make it possible to creat many new buildings for SimCity 4.

The Tuesday SimCity day planned for today was held over until tomorrow. As a result, Maxis has said it is supposed to be a blast. Quoting SimCity.com, "Please check back on Wednesday, February 4th for what promises to be a large and gratifying SimCity Day!" In other news, Maxis has scheduled a chat with several members of the BAT team to discuss the intricacies of the add on. The chat will take place Thursday at 3PM Pacific time, and Maxis noted that "Submitted questions that rhyme will be sure to get a chuckle." And now, here's Cameron with the weather
