User Regions up... -- Posted by Cameron on Thursday, January 30, 2003

We have added the first two user regions by IonWind on our Regions page. We will soon be bundling the SimGlobal maps and config files into zips to make for easier downloads.

We want your regions! Send the image files and config files to globalfiles@simglobal.net. Please do not send us the entire region folder with the already generated cities, as this folder is usually larger than 15mb, although we would like your individual city files. Make sure to include your name, the region/city name as well as a short description.

SimCity.com has been updated, in light of the recent release of SimCity 4. There is a new design with new features... the works! Currently, the site seems to be under a heavy load of visitors, and it takes quite a while for things to load. Its also very image-intensive, so you 56k-ers may have a wait in front of you. However, the improved site contains useful information that makes it worth the time.
